Paddy Cakes - Bespoke wedding cakes & cakes

By making payment you confirm that you are over 18 and you agree to our T&Cs

 

orders

1.1 All cakes are made to order and are individually designed based on your requirements.

1.2 Orders will only be confirmed once a deposit has been received (see Section 2).

1.3 Design sketches, images, or descriptions provided are for illustrative purposes only; the finished product may vary slightly due to the handmade nature of our work.

1.4 It is your responsibility to ensure all details in your order confirmation are correct

Payment

2.1 For single tier and two tier cakes, 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking of the total cost is due . The remaining balance must be paid three weeks before the required date.

2.2 For cakes priced over £500, a £100 non-refundable deposit is required upfront to secure the date pay for admin & design cost.

2.3 Four weeks after the initial deposit, a further payment is due to cover the cost of pre-ordering materials.

2.4 The final balance must be paid three weeks before your event

2.5 Payments may be made by bank transfer, card or cash.

2.6 Please note until the deposit has been received your cake is not confirmed even if you have received a quote. All invoices are valid for 14 days. Prices for our products are subject to change without notice.

2.7 For wedding orders placed less than 2 months before the event, full payment is required at the time of booking. For bespoke cakes, cupcake orders & dessert tables placed less than 1 months before the event, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Non-Payment

3.1 Please note if full payment of the wedding cake , bespoke cakes cupcakes and dessert tables is not received 21 days before the order delivery, collection and set up date; it is assumed the cake has been cancelled. The cancellation policy therefore applies in all cases if after the 21 day deadline you make payment we reserve the right to refuse your trade.

Cancellations and Refunds

3.1 Deposits are strictly non-refundable.

3.2 Cancellations made more than 90 days before the event may result in a partial refund (less the deposit and any costs already incurred).

3.3 Cancellations made more than 60 days before the event may result in a partial refund (less the deposit 50% of remaining cost).

3.4 Cancellations within 30 days of the event are non-refundable.

3.5 We reserve the right to cancel an order due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, emergency, supply issues). In this case, you will be offered a full refund or alternative supplier recommendation.

3.6 For wedding cake consultations cancellation must be made minimum 72 hours before your appointment to be eligible for a parrefund

3.7 For sugar work 5 weeks before when we start working on your order should you wish to make any amendment they must be done then. Once we start working on your order, you can no longer make any changes and will not be eligible for refunds

Please understand that this policy is in place due to the time and resources having already been invested in for filling your order and loss of business arising from turning away other bookings on your chosen date

Alterations

4.1 Any changes to the design, size, flavours, or delivery details must be requested in writing at least 3 weeksbefore the event.

4.2 We will accommodate changes where possible, but additional charges may apply.

4.3 Last-minute changes cannot be guaranteed and may not be possible.

 Collection and Delivery

5.1 Delivery is available to [specify areas] at an additional cost, calculated by distance and set-up time.

5.2 Once a cake has been delivered and set up, or collected by you (or your representative), we accept no liability for any damage or loss.

5.3 If collecting, you are responsible for transporting the cake safely. We cannot be held responsible for damage caused after collection.

 

Change of date policy

6.1 one change of date is allowed free of charge if requested 90 days before event subject to our avalability This notice is to be provided in writing and will be acknowledged with a written response.

6.2 further date change will incure a £50 admin fee

6.3 if the new date is not avaliable the booking will be treated as a cancellation (see our Cancellation terms)

6.4 late notice less then 1 month before event will be treated as a canellation full payment will still be due since the slot cannot be rebooked and materials have been orderd

Please bear this in mind when ordering. We highly suggest that you take out insurance to cover all eventualities.

Allergies and Dietary Requirements

7.1 All cakes are prepared in a kitchen where [ nuts, gluten, dairy, soy, eggs] are handled. We cannot guarantee the absence of allergens.

7.2 It is your responsibility to inform us of any allergies or intolerances at the time of ordering.

7.3 We accept no liability for any allergic reactions where the relevant information has not been provided to us in advance.

7.4 Vegan, gluten-friendly, and other dietary options may be available upon request, but cross-contamination cannot be fully prevented.

Cake Design and Decoration

8.1 We will make every effort to match colours and designs as closely as possible, but slight variations may occur.

8.2 Fresh flowers must be supplied by your florist unless agreed otherwise, and it is your responsibility to ensure they are safe for use on food.

8.3 In warm weather, cakes should be stored in a cool environment. We accept no responsibility for cakes once delivered or collected. 

Non-Edible Items

9.1 Some cakes may contain non-edible supports (e.g., dowels, wires, toppers). These must be removed before serving.

9.2 We accept no liability for injury or damage caused by failure to remove non-edible items.

Complaints

9.1 Any concerns regarding your cake must be raised within 24 hours of collection/delivery.the cake must have been stored at the correct temperature and in the box we supplied, out of the sun and away from damp conditions or heat.

9.2 If a fault is identified, you must return the cake (or 50% of uneaten portion) for fair inspection.

9.3 Refunds or partial refunds will only be issued at our discretion and will not exceed the original order value.

9.4 Taste and design preferences are subjective and will not be considered grounds for a refund.

No Show or Failed Delivery Attempts

10.1 Orders for collection that are not picked up will not be refunded. we will hold the cake for 24 hours

10.2 Orders that require delivery and cannot be delivered due to customer’s wrong information or nobody there to accept the order the goods will be held and sent back to Paddy Cakes Bakery we will hold the cake for 24 hours we will call to rearrange delivery (subject to our avalability). Should you require rearranged delivery you will be held responsible for an additional delivery charges.

10.3 for weddings and large events Should we have to wait to gain entry to your venue you will be billed at £15 per hour.

10.4 Paddy Cakes accepts no responsibility for any loss or consequential loss incurred by the customer as a result

10.5 We will only make 1 more delivery attempt. Therefore, after you will be required to collect the order from 129 Fortess Road London NW5 2HR Within 24h

10.6 Because of the nature of our business and quality and freshness assurance, we will dispose of any baked items that are not picked up or successfully redelivered within 48 hours after the due time and you will not be refunded

Liability

11.1 Our liability for any claim shall be limited to the cost of the cake supplied.

11.2 We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or financial losses asing from any issues with your cake.

11.3 We are not liable for failure to provide services due to events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., extreme weather, accidents, road closures, strikes).

Data Protection

11.1 Personal data you provide will be used only to process your order and communicate with you regarding your cake.

11.2 We will not share your details with third parties except as necessary to fulfil your order.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Country/Region]. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [Your Country/Region].

 Photography

Often, we will photograph our cakes and we reserve the right to use them for display or promotion without any compensation to the customer
